i love this kid.

my neighborhood was void of any trick-or-treat action. probably a good thing since we were totally unprepared. however, the desolate streets on such a perfect halloween evening was quite sad.

DAMN
i am so dirty. so, its not atypical for me to skip a day of showering. however, its been two days. why? because our gas has been disconnected since we never established service in the new house. not only is our house 56 degrees right now, but i cant take a shower unless i want to turn into an icicle. so, naturally, i run over to lesley and sam's to use their shower. i pack my little overnight bag with all my junk and make my way over there. on my way i almost die after a car swerves into my lane to avoid a 50 car pile up on the connector, then i accidentally throw my keys and credit card away at the the gas station. . . sick. finally, i get to lesley and sams and i make some phone calls to start up our gas. after 30 minutes on the phone, we are in business to get some heat and hot water. did i mention we had to get service with the low-income provider because kate and i dont have credit? its true. well kids, nobody can come to set up our gas until next thursday, A FREAKING WEEK AWAY. what? no worries, everything is ok because im about to take a shower and be squeaky clean. WRONG. i turn the knobs on the shower and nothing comes out, not a drip, nothing. lesley runs into the living room and looks at a notice they got from the apartment management team. NOTICE: water will be turned off on october 27th for emergency repairs. poop.

ok, very important poll. i need some major guidance. i have money from graduation and am torn on what to purchase. here are a couple of things to choose from:

it is another exquisite day. lucky for me i have the day off to enjoy it.

TRANSITIONS

dang, i love that place, everything about it, well almost everything. and as much as i wish i was there with my favorite people on earth, in our cozy little house (which, by the way, is so much cuter now, since edie and friends have moved in), i am in atlanta now, and i need to enjoy my time here. i have to come to terms with the fact that i cant go to the grocery store and run into five people i know, well anywhere for that matter. i will never meet people that will compare to my friends from auburn. i will never be able to leave my doors unlocked here, or run next door and steal milk for my cereal in the morning. as many things that will never be same, i am in a fabulous city that has vast opportunities for me to take advantage of and exciting adventures await me.
still, i cant wait for my next little trip to the wonderful plains of alabama.
