it is officially true, i have the BEST family.

yesterday at work i almost passed out again. i could barely stand up so i went into the back of the store. so, already embaressed about my first fainting episode, i feel absolutely ridiculous. rarely do i get sick, and even more rarely do i cry. but, here i am, at my one month old job crying hysterically and about to pass out in front of all of my managers. my sweet sister came and picked me up from work. she conveniently had the day off and broke her plans for the day to take care of me and take me to marietta. my mom scheduled an appointment to figure out what the heck was wrong with me. she and lesley took me to the doctor and mom paid for all of the expenses. wow. well, i apparently was just dehydrated, but they checked my blood for diabetes and other such things. so, lesson to all, drink plenty of water throughout the day and take care of yourself. to emphasize that my family rules, sam made me soup twice, jake and lesley at different times drove me to and from marietta to get excellent care from mom and dad, dad went to the store for me way past his bedtime, and mom is just the perfect nurse. then this morning lesley managed to get my shift covered at work so i could have some R and R.

anyways, i am much better today and had the pleasure of spending the day with my grandparents, and cousins who were out of school because of the georgia fuel "crisis".

is this better ryan?

oh yeah, biggest bummer about the whole deal, no more coke or coffee. boo.

Finding majesty in the mundane.

eat, work, drink coffee, sleep. that's about all i do these days. partly, because its all i can afford. however, mostly, life seems pretty lame right now because i am making it lame. so, from here on out i am making it priority to enjoy each day thoroughly.

Nashville in three days with two lovely ladies for one awesome show. what more could i ask for?

lil' kim

this is our unfaithful cat. she sneaks away and eats at our neighbors house. i saw her relaxing on their porch the other day. although i was very opposed to her at first, she is really a delightful cat. it hurts my feelings when she leaves us.

our lovely home

come over any time. i love visitors.

livin' in the hood

well, kate and i had the great idea of going to the neighborhood playground down the street. we met many lovely little children, who treated us like celebrities. they showed us their great swinging skills, and let me say, i was highly impressed. when we left we were stopped by a homeless man who asked for money. neither of us had cash, so we politely said no. as we were talking, this guy walked by and was obviously listening to some good jams on his headphones. he created a little rap as he passed. it went something like this, "they're white and they walkin in the hood. it's true. believe me."

tomorrow i have no agenda. it should be absolutely lovely.

"Jesus you are and will always be
Beautiful and lovely to me
You gave your life and shed your blood for me
Heaven came down to reveal your love

Thank you, thank you
I will always bring you praise
For you have won my heart

Thank you, thank you
I will always bring you praise
From the deepest places of my heart"

i am full of nothing but thanks.

well, my heart is a little happier today after a long, anticipated premier. summary: seth is as wonderful and adorable as ever, braids are in, and ryan still loves wife beaters.

Goodbye Summer. It was lovely.

Hello Fall. Welcome cool breezes and new wardrobe.

ok, so it is extremely hard to keep this thing up to date, considering i currently cannot afford internet. so i will try harder to make it to javaology(the very urban coffee shop by my house). and by urban, i mean the majority of patrons have dreads, even the mail lady. also, i am having a problem with the whole picture thing. so hopefully with some assistance i can get this thing in full swing.
well, in leu of a desperate job search, i am settled at anthropology for the meantime. its going well so far. i have an excuse to dress up every day, eat chick-fil-a for lunch in the food court, and browse through bloomingdale's and nordstrom's so i can drool over beautiful things that are way out of my budget. on my first day i fainted during the morning meeting. it was pretty sweet.
anyways, i love atlanta and all that comes with it. well, minus the occasional drug deal made outside of my house.
the "skyline" from my front porch.
