BOOK CLUB
with a lot of extra time on my hands, i have been spending a large part of it reading. my social life will suffer because once i start, i usually cant stop. but, lets be honest, i have been pretty solitary lately. so, i have decided to start a book club. basically, i just want to pass on books that i find interesting and i want others to pass some my way. there are several classics that i have not read, so i am reading a farewell to arms right now.

the blog will be an easy outlet, so please play with me. come on, it will be fun.
yesterday i finished the lovely bones by alice sebold. it was a fascinating and haunting story, narrated by a young girl who was murdered in the 70's, about how her family and friends deal with her tragedy. its a rather good read.
in music, i am really enjoying cat power's new album. although it is not as good as the last, the greatest will be pleasing to any ear.

i just read Lovely Bones this past weekend- i agree with you rachel- great read, but very creepy. i even know a few people who had trouble sleeping for a couple nights (of course i wasn't one of those... people. AHEM)
Farewell to Arms: you'll love it! can't wait to hear your thoughts on it.
i have been wanting to become a reader for at least 6 months...maybe you can be my inspiration that actually makes it happen!!! However creepy novels may not be my thing.
i'm hooked on cheesey, yet deeply inspiring Karen Kingsbury....any and all of hers are great...(she's kinda like francine rivers)...and i feel cool like i'm in a book club...i'm sitting at Cambridge in patton creek listening to some locals play and blogging about literature....who am i???
just to clarify, i am not opposed to any genre. non-fiction, cheesy romance, creepy, i like them all. oh, this is going to be great fun!
